Preventing flood from entering your office



Hello readers, I will be writing about flood today. Flood is an issue during raining season in Nigeria. This could lead to damages of properties. As such some actions are needed to prevent  flood from entering your building. There are different methods of preventing flood from entering your building, I will writing about three methods.

You should  build your office at least three feet above the base flood elevation (BFE). BFE could be found on flood maps or you could hire a licensed surveyor. When there is flood, buildings whose foundation were raised well higher than BFE will not have water in there compound when it rains heavily and everywhere is flooded.

In a situation where you have built your office and water enters it when it rains heavily, you could landscape with  vegetation and plants. While doing that, you should intsall an excellent drainage system. This will prevent soil erosion and the water will drain easily.

Lasting, water tight shields could be installed around doors and window, at least three feet above  the BFE.
Everything should be done seeking the pleasure of Allah. Part of seeking the pleasure means hoping for a reward from Him in this life and the Hereafter. Everything happens according to the will of Allah (you have freewill, therefore, you are responsible for your actions).
