Insects in Islam



Asalam alaykum 

 Then when we decreed (Solomon's ) death, nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff. So when he fell down the jinn saw plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating penalty (of their task). " Quran 34:13 Yusuf Ali. The worm has been used to pass messages to mankind that only Allah (S.W.T) knows the unseen.

"At length when they came to a lowly valley of ants  one of the ants said  "O ye ants get into your habitations lest Solomon and his host crush you (under foot) without knowing. So he smiled amused at her speech and he said " O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for thy favors which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents and I that I may work the righteousness that will please thee and admit me by thy Grace to the ranks of Thy righteous servants" Quran 27:18-19 Yusuf Ali. Solomon could hear ants talk even if we do not understand them; as such they all worship Allah (SWT).

"O  men! Here is a parable set forth ! Listen to it! Those on whom beside Allah ye call cannot create (even) a fly if they all met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them they would have no power to release it from the fly- feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition" Quran 22:73 Yusuf Ali. Flies have been given the duty of cleaning. You may see them as dirty, however, they clean themselves several times daily.

"There was a man who asked God for a flower and a butterfly. But God gave a cactus and a caterpillar. You should ponder on this. "And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if anyone put his trust in Allah sufficient is Allah for him. For Allah will surely accomplish His purpose. Verily for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion " Quran 65:2 Yusuf Ali

In all, all these verses  should let you know that Allah the greatest, Whom I love so much, Whom  that I love the most controls all things. This is part 2 of how to treats insect and earthworms according to Islam.

The Istikharah Prayer

Hello readers , today I will be telling you about the Istikharah prayer. It is a prayer of guidance. When you want to make a major decision in your life, it is best you seek Allah's guidance. You should always pray to Allah to guide you through the right path in your daily activities. Istikharah prayer is recommended for a major decision such as getting married, starting a business and others. How do you perform the Istikhara prayer? Make two rakats (Nafila). During your first rakat, after reciting Surat Fatiha recite Surat Ikhlas, during your second rakat  after reciting Surat Fatiha recite Surat Kaafirun.
