Islamic gyms: yes yes

Hello readers, I will be writing about gyms. Exercise is good for your body and health. Thus, anything that is good for you (doing it for the sake of Allah(Exalted and Glorious is He)) is an act of worship to Allah. The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said: "A strong believer is better and dearer to Allah than a weak one, and both are good. Adhere to that which is beneficial for you, keep asking Allah for help and do not refrain from it."

Unfortunately, we have one Islamic gym in Nigeria and that is in Kano, I have not been to Kano (you get my point), I noticed it online so I cannot say much about it. The other gyms in Nigeria are not Islamic. They play unGodly songs and the females are required to wear leggings. I was once told by a gym in Nigeria that I have to wear leggings. As Muslim women we are required to wear clothes that do not cling to our body. We are also required to wear a hijab that covers the bosom. Non-Muslim women are not allowed to see  Muslim women without their hijab.

Men are usually dressed okay at the gym  but they have to deal with the unGodly songs they play and the partially dressed females. Some ladies wear sport bras on leggings. Is that not being half-naked? As Muslims we are required to lower our gaze when its comes to the opposite sex.  Thus, men should not go gyms where they will see partially dressed women.

"And tell the believing women to restrain their looks, and to guard their privates, and not display their beauty except what is apparent thereof, and to draw their coverings over their breasts, and not expose their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, what their right hands possess, their male attendants who have no sexual desires, or children who are not yet aware of the nakedness of women. And they should not strike their feet to draw attention to their hidden beauty. And repent to God, all of you believers, so that you may succeed." Quran 24:31

There is a business opportunity here, the percentage of Muslims in Nigeria is 53.5%.  People should start Islamic gyms in Nigeria and other parts of the world as well. It should be within close reach to most people, like having branches. Starting the business will lead to you getting blessings in this life and the hereafter inshaAllah (if Allah wills). Make sure your sources of finance are halal. Everything you provide at the gym should be halal such as weight loss diets, protein shakes and others. You could also perform Istikharah prayer for guidance on opening an Islamic gym. Say no no to conventional gyms and yes yes to Islamic gyms.

yoga should  not be done at the gym remember the gym you want to start is an Islamic one. yoga is not Islamic at all. It was started by hindus and then the buddhist (idol worshippers). As such performing yoga is as good as worshipping idols. Some people would say if you just do the movement and do not say what they say then you are fine. You are far from fine cause that movement itself is an act of worshipping an idol which is the greatest sin in Islam. So repent if you practise it before it is too late. According to the Oxford English dictionary, yoga is a hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline. According to hindus, yoga means union with god. There is no god but Allah. Stay away from it.

Before an Islamic gym becomes available in your area, you can buy affordable gym instruments and work out at home. Or you could also just walk for 15-20 minutes daily. Walking has various wonderful benefits which include healthy brain, healthy mind, healthy heart, strong bones and joints, good blood pressure, good functioning lungs, aids digestion, good sugar level, healthy pancreas and other benefits. And guess what, walking is easy. Most of all, believe in oneness of God (He is Almighty , He is too MIGHTY to have a partner, Jesus is a great servant of Allah), remember to pray 5 times daily or even more (by even more I mean the non-obligatory prayers), pay your zakat as well as give out sadaqa, fast during ramadan, non-obligatory fast can also be performed three times in a month. If you must fast  three times during any month let it be the 13th, 14th and 15th days of the Islamic calendar months. Go for pilgrimage at least once in your lifetime to Saudi Arabia if you are physically and financially capable.

Make sure your gym business is halal. Everything should be done seeking the pleasure of Allah. Part of seeking the pleasure of Allah means hoping for a reward from Him in this life and the Hereafter. Everything happens according to the will of Allah (you have freewill, therefore, you are responsible for your actions).

Halal means anything lawful Islamically.

Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah). May Allah send peace and blessings to Prophet Muhammed (P.B.U.H). Thank you for reading this article. Like this page on facebook. Keep reading this blog regularly. Cheers!

Evil: Lekki Central Mosque

Asalam alaykum There are mosques and there are evil places that call themselves mosques, Lekki central mosque is one of those places such an evil place. The so called chief imam Ridwan Jamiu is also fake. A mosque, they have two floors. I  thought women where suppose to be upstairs and men downstairs. Yet, he allowed women to be entering the part where men enter, seeing women and men walking and passing through the same door. Women praying downstairs with no division between men and women. When I asked him about it, he said it is allowed. How is that allowed. Islam does not encourage the mixing of different sexes. Where ablution is done in the female part is sometimes dirty, when you are suppose to do ablution in a clean place. The toilets there were dirty and they face the qibla. Toilets are not meant to face the qibla according to Islamic law. There is one toilet there that did not face the qibla. A pit latrine, which i find odd why would there be regular toilets and one pit latrine.

Quran 3:56-59

Asalam alaykum "As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment, in this world and the next, and they will have no helpers.   And as for those who believe and do good works, He will give them their rewards in full. God does not love the unjust.”  This is what We recite to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder. The likeness of Jesus in God’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was." Quran 3:56-59 Ma salam.

Quran 3: 60-62

Asalam alaykum "The truth is from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt. And if anyone disputes with you about him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, “Come, let us call our children and your children, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and let us invoke God’s curse on the liars.”  This is the narrative of truth: there is no god but God. God is the Mighty, the Wise." Quran 3:60-62 Ma salam.
