Stop taking alcohol



Hello readers, today I will be talking about the dangers around alcohol. Allah makes things forbidden for your own good. He created you so why not get a Quran to read. The Quran is a Book of Allah, It is a guide and mercy for mankind and jinns. Get one now and read.  He knows you more than you know yourself, He created everyt so why do you not abide to His guide. I know we all sin (minor sins) but you can always ask for forgiveness. Everything in this world and heaven is created by Allah (Glorious and Exalted is He). He knows everything, every tiny detail. He is the only One that knows everything.

Alcohol is a drink forbidden by Allah. It is  a drink that satan uses to cause disputes between people. I am sure you have heard of men getting home drunk and beating their wives for no reason. Allah has never permitted beating your wife for no reason but He has permitted a man to beat his wife if she is disloyal and exhibits ill-conduct after trying other options. 

"Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, as God has given some of them an advantage over others, and because they spend out of their wealth. The good women are obedient, guarding what God would have them guard. As for those from whom you fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them, and abandon them in their beds, then strike them. But if they obey you, seek no way against them. God is Sublime, Great." Quran 4:34. 

"They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say, “There is gross sin in them, and some benefits for people, but their sinfulness outweighs their benefit.” And they ask you about what they should give: say, “The surplus.” Thus God explains the revelations to you, so that you may think." Quran 2:219. Alcohol makes people happy as well as makes people confident but for a short period and they go back to depression. Alcohol causes depression, it causes heart problems, liver problems and it can also cause some types of cancers. It can also lead to death. Some people commit suicide as a result of intoxication. Some road accidents are caused by drunk drivers. You can clearly see the sin in it outweighs the benefit.

"O you who believe! Intoxicants, gambling, idolatry, and divination are abominations of Satan’s doing. Avoid them, so that you may prosper. Satan wants to provoke strife and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to prevent you from the remembrance of God, and from prayer. Will you not desist?" 5:90-91


People fight when they are intoxicated. You cannot pray while you are intoxicated. "O you who believe! Do not approach the prayer while you are drunk, so that you know what you say; nor after sexual orgasm—unless you are travelling—until you have bathed. If you are sick, or traveling, or one of you comes from the toilet, or you have had intercourse with women, and cannot find water, find clean sand and wipe your faces and your hands with it. God is Pardoning and Forgiving." 4:43


Lastly, if you die while being intoxicated, you will go to hell. "When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their souls, they say "In what (plight) were ye. They reply, "Weak and oppressed were we in the earth". They say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (from evil)? Such men will find their abode in hell- What an evil refuge." Quran 4:97 (Yusuf Ali)

Everything should be done seeking the pleasure of Allah. Part of seeking the pleasure means hoping for a reward from Him in this life and the Hereafter. Everything happens according to the will of Allah (you have freewill, therefore, you are responsible for your actions).
